tah-dah!

Here is what I have been up to, well me and the hubby, well mostly the hubby actually as DIY was much needed! BIG thank you hubby for all your hard work!!!!
I now have a little shop to display my cards and my other future handmade items in.
We were kindly offered a piece of the family owned shop in return for helping to refurbish which has worked out just great!

So here are some pics of the finished shop :0)

We almost forgot what the shop used to look like!

out with the mustard walls & mustard carpet...

...in with lots of cream paint & laminate flooring
tah-dah hanmade is here!

It is still a bit on the 'airy' side yet but in time it will grow...
We still have a few things to do but at least we are up & running, looking forward to the future - thanks to everyone involved :0)

There & back to see how far it is

Where are you going?

There and back to see how far it is.

Today the hubby, Smartie & me have been busily packing up the caravhan ready for another trip away! As of tomorrow we are going to stay in the meadow over in Wales. To make cards, drink tea and if we get any spare time maybe play some cluedo!
I have been working on something for a while now and with lots of help & hard work from my hubby it is nearly finished! All that's left for us to do now is just the finishing touches. It's all very exciting & we aim to be ready for the bank holiday weekend!
That is all I'm going to tell you for now ;0) Until then you will just have to wait patiently for the next installment!

We won't be gone long, just a little while...

It made a very interesting cauliflower cheese :0)
I have to admit I think I enjoyed it more because it was purple!

Homespun Fair!

Day 6.
On the last day of our holiday we visited the Homespun Fair down in Portscatho.
A beautiful part of Cornwall! Really glad we visited the craft fair. There were lots of lovely stands selling handmade & vintage items some of which I recognised from various blogs I browse!

Hoping to visit the Vintage & Handmade Fair at Chipping Sodbury in November time ;0)

Our old next door neighbour George wished us a 'Happy Anniversary' while we were away as he shares the same Wedding Anniversary as we do! Sadly though George lost he wife Dot not so long ago, such a sad loss.
Dot was so lovely she always had a smiley face. We actually share not only the same Anniversary but the same Birthday too! I remember the day we moved next door to them, she leant over the garden gate carrying a tray with cups of tea for us, she could tell we needed a cuppa what with shifting all our boxes! It was totally unexpected in this day & age it made us feel really welcome, it was such a kind thing to do. Lovely memory, it always makes me smile :0)

When we told George where we were he told us of a place we should see called Mevagissey, a place him & Dot often visited.

So we took a trundle to Mevagissey for some fish & chips. While we buying our food we saw this...

...St. Georges Square ;0)

Day Five

Day 5.
Fallen asleep yet??
We had another fun packed day touring around Cornwall.
In the Morning we went to Carnewas & Bedruthan Steps then we made our way over to Newquay, Padstow finishing the day off at Boscastle before heading back to camp.

Watching cormorants at Bedruthan Steps.

Sunny afternoon at Padstow.
Smartie having a quick paddle in the water at Boscastle :0)

Day Four

Day 4.
We had a bit of a chilled out day & decided to stay close to the caravan park.
So in the afternoon once it had dried up a bit we took Smartie for a walk over the cliffs to Fowey, a lovely coastal path from Polkerris Beach.

Fowey Hall was apparently the place that inspired Kenneth Graham's classic tale 'The Wind in the Willows'.

Day Three

Day 3. - Our Anniversary!
For our Anniversary we visited Trengwainton Gardens near Penzance.
It was lovely there & the weather was gorgeous! Plus it was a place where we could take Smartie which made the day even more enjoyable!

After Trengwainton we took a drive to......

Then the Hubby & I went back to the caravhan for din dins & enjoyed a bottle of bubbly ;0)

Cheers!
